Jire Khursani (Nepali: जिरे खुर्सानी; Translation: Hot Chillies) is a popular Nepali sitcom aired every Monday at 9pm NPT on Nepal Television. It started in 2003 and has been continuously airing since. It is produced and directed Jeetu Nepal and Shivahari Paudel who are the main actors in the show as well. Jire Khursani basically portrays social problems suffered by everyday people with a comic punch. The show also features issues of polygamy where two wives of Shivahari Paudel live under the same roof with their children.

The story is based on the romantic, fantasy adventures of Jeannie, a genie, and Captain Vikram Khanna, who is a commercial pilot with Priya Airlines. uring Captain Vicky's solo flight, his aircraft loses touch with Ground Control. Vicky is forced to make an emergency landing on a deserted island. There, he accidentally meets a jeannie, who has been trapped inside a bottle for 2000 years. Jeannie falls in love with Vicky whom she lovingly calls Juju at first sight, tricks him and follows him into his world. Vicky, at first unaware that Jeannie has followed him finds her in his house. He asks Jeannie to leave, but she refuses. Jeannie creates constant problems for Vicky, but in the end, she usually solves them and improves his life.
  

The show talks about Baal Veer, the ultimate hero for innocent, good and honest children. He is endowed with the capability of acquiring Pari Taraa, the source for all the power in the universe. The main obstacle in his way is Bhayankar Pari ( Shama Sikander ), who is the arch rival of the good fairies. This is to avenge the dream of her good form, Bhali Pari of becoming the queen, which was shattered due to Maa Pari ( Rukhsar Rehman ) enthroning Bahuroopi Pari ( Karishma Tanna ) and making her the next Rani Pari. Bhayankar Pari tries to harm the good fairies, Baal Veer and the good and honest children of the Earth. She almost succeeds in doing so by making Rani Pari a statue of ice. Due to her wrong doings, she is trapped and made a captive in the Sarvada Jail. In the process, Bawandar Pari ( Deepshikha) more cruel, dishonest and shrewd fairy is released. She tries to harm Baal Veer and the earthlings by capturing the rain clouds.
